RIP Bill Wilcox

Bill died on the 10th May 2025 and Tarring Priory sadly lost not just a member but also one of the nicest men you could possibly meet. Bill was primarily an indoor bowler and was also a member at Worthing IBC for many years.

At Priory he was always a willing participant in team events and the club used his skills as a lead bowler on many occasions in friendlies and league matches.

When a volunteer was needed, he was always near the front of the queue, and he particularly liked to help out behind the bar.

Bill will be greatly missed by any who had the pleasure to know him – a true gentleman.

Bill’s funeral will be held on Friday 30th May at St Andrews, Tarring Church at 1pm. Afterwards, friends and club members are most welcome at the George and Dragon in Tarring to share in the celebration of Bills life.
