Safeguarding at Tarring Priory BC

IMG_2018.jpg

I am Alan Messer and have been a member at Priory since 2005. Before that I was a Special Needs Teacher with over 30 years experience. I was also an ambassador for CEOP (Child Exploitation & On line Protection) which gives me a good grounding in the role I now undertake at Priory

Safeguarding is taken very seriously at Tarring Priory Bowls Club. Every member and every visitor to the club shares a responsibility for the wellbeing of all who play bowls here. To that end the club adheres to 4 policy documents which together form the basis of how we ensure each others rights to safety.

The policy documents are

  1. Safeguarding and Child Protection

  2. Safeguarding and Adults at Risk

  3. Health and Safety

  4. Equality

All four documents can be downloaded in PDF format - all club members are encouraged to familiarise themselves with them . Use the links below to access the documents

CODES OF CONDUCT

It is essential that expectations of members of the club are of a required standard - to make things crystal clear - anyone acting in a coaching capacity, any of our junior players and the parents of any juniors - each have a code of conduct over and above the expectation of normal members.

WHISTLE BLOWING

It is very important that any member with concerns should act on them without fear of prejudice. To facilitate this either contact Alan directly or complete the form which you can access below.

LOCAL, COUNTY and NATIONAL SAFEGUARDING CONTACT DETAILS ARE AVAILABLE IN THE CLUBHOUSE ON THE SAFEGUARDING NOTICE BOARD
